💾Quick Install Guide:
1. Connect your 33.3k modem, brace for the sacred dial-up chant, and begin downloading the curse_of_orebrander.exe file from our official website, your cousin's dodgy GeoCities page, or by mailing in a self-addressed floppy with £4.99 and a note that reads “Please send dwarves.” Expect download times of anywhere between three hours and the collapse of civilisation. Do not pick up the phone—this breaks everything.
2. Run the Installer.
If curse_of_orebrander.exe doesn’t launch, feel free to use a range of sexual swearwords and hit the side of your machine until you hear that sweet, comforting whirring noise.
3. Choose Install Type.
◦ Typical - For normal people
◦ Minimal - If you feel like taking a long hard look at yourself in the mirror
◦ Custom - If you trust yourself more than we do
4. Pick Install Location.
Default is C:\OREBRANDR. Avoid putting it in C:\DOORWAYS\SYSTEM unless you like chaos. If all else fails, feel free to just drag everything onto the desktop into a folder marked “My Stuff” as usual.
5. Wait for Install to Complete.
Take a long nap. Your PC’s about to.
6. Launch Game.
From the new shortcut or via Start > Programs > Games> Curse of Orebrander > Launch.exe – NOTE: Now enjoy trying to get the graphics and sound card driver to function. Think of this as a digital ballet that you can savour for many, many hours.
7. Soundtrack.
If you find yourself in the unwelcome position that your Marshsoft Doorways home computer has not downloaded or installed the game files, then please open the selection of audio files included in this download to listen to the full game soundtrack. Close your eyes and imagine everything. No refunds.
